Inside the IndexHalo dashboard

Real screens from the public HubSpot demo: one buyer question, five AI sources, collected 14 October 2026.

  1. Inside the IndexHalo dashboard: What five AI answers said about HubSpot. Shows: 5/5 AI answers name HubSpot; 1/5 cites hubspot.com. Real dashboard, real answers · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  2. Win the missing links: Every AI answer names HubSpot. Only one cites hubspot.com. See the answers that name you without linking to you, and the sites they cite instead. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  3. See who is cited instead: Other sites are cited where yours is not. Citation gaps rank the websites AI cites in answers that don’t cite yours, by number of answers. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  4. Analyse competitor positioning: Four of five AIs number HubSpot first. Perplexity numbers no one. The position each AI prints for each brand when it numbers its options. Named without a number stays “Named”, never a rank. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  5. Measure share of voice: HubSpot ties three rivals on share of voice. Visibility, share of voice and position for every brand you track, each with its denominator. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  6. See which sources AI cites: “Editorial & media” pages earn 53.8% of the citations. IndexHalo’s derived website category, weighted by the answers that cite each page. It reads the page type, so articles and roundups count as editorial, including vendor blogs. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  7. Find content gaps: While answering, ChatGPT searched for official pricing. Fanout queries show what AI searched for, so you know which facts your pages must state. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  8. Track the questions that matter: Turn AI’s own searches into prompts to track. Discovery lists the queries AI ran for your question, with the answer they came from. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  9. Know what to do next: Get the next task, not just a chart. Proposed tasks with an owner and a priority, each linked to the passages behind it. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
  10. Create fast client reports: Export the evidence in the format your client uses. Reports as PDF, Word, PowerPoint, HTML or Markdown. Data as CSV, TSV, NDJSON, XLSX or JSON. Real IndexHalo dashboard · public HubSpot example: 1 buyer question, 5 AI sources, United States, collected 14 Oct 2026 · HubSpot is not an IndexHalo customer.
01Find content gaps

Find the content AI looks for

IndexHalo keeps the searches AI returns with its answer and the topics every answer raises, so you can see what information AI looks for and get a brief for the page to add or fix.

How to do it in IndexHalo

Results Chats Fanouts

  1. Open Chats › FanoutsEvery search an AI source returned with its answer, by question.
  2. Read “Latest fanout queries”Spot what AI goes looking for, such as official pricing.
  3. Open the brief in ActionsTurn the gap into a page to add or fix, with the evidence attached.

Fanout queries appear only when the AI source returns them. In this example 2 of 5 did.

Example findingAI went looking for official pricing. Every answer raised upgrade costs.

02Win traffic-driving links

Win the links behind your mentions

Find every answer that names your brand without citing your website, and see the pages it relied on instead, so you can fix your content and earn the citation.

Home Overview Visibility map

  1. Open Overview › Visibility mapOne cell per AI source for each question you track.
  2. Look for “Named only”Named, your site not cited: the answer mentions you but does not cite your website.
  3. Open “Citation gaps” in Cited sourcesSee the third-party sites cited instead, then save a task.

A citation alone does not show why an answer chose a source. Study the cited pages before you act.

Example findingEvery AI answer names HubSpot. Only ChatGPT cites hubspot.com.

How these examples were made

Every product example on this page comes from retained answers (a HubSpot search collected on 14 October 2026 and a Shopify search collected in the United Kingdom on 15–17 October 2026) or shows the app’s own settings and generated output, as each caption says. Each search is one buyer question in one market, so nothing in those examples is a trend or a market-wide measure. The AI answer audience deck quotes published third-party figures, including growth over time, each with its publisher and date. HubSpot and Shopify are independent examples, not IndexHalo customers. App labels are as shipped on 21 October 2026. Read the method.
