  • Every IndexHalo feature on every tier. Choose the search allowance that fits your work.
  • A flexible monthly search budget. Allocate complete searches to recurring questions, new clients or focused investigations.

How these comparisons were checked · 18 October 2026. Published by IndexHalo. IndexHalo is one of the products being compared. This is a source-based buying guide, not an independent review or a hands-on test of the competitor’s paid product. Product names identify their owners and do not imply endorsement.

A measurement budget and reports, or monitoring plus agent work?

Evaluate IndexHalo when the priority is a bounded evidence sample, original answers, practical analysis and reports with the same feature access across tiers. Evaluate Promptwatch when its agent and content workflows are part of the purchasing decision. Compare the quality and review effort of the resulting work, rather than assuming one credit label describes the same service.

What the current vendor page says

Promptwatch’s monthly brand plans list Essential $95 with 50 prompts, Professional $245 with 150 and Business $579 with 350. The page lists four models, daily monitoring and separate Agent Credit allowances. Essential shows 500 Agent Credits and no AEO Articles.

The product describes agent chat, content and data-access workflows alongside visibility tracking. Prompt, response, project, content and Agent Credit allowances are different units. Read the selected plan and agency terms for the capabilities you need.

What IndexHalo includes

Professional: $49 USD/month for 100 credits; Business: $129 USD/month for 300 credits; Agency: $299 USD/month for 750 credits, plus applicable tax. Every tier has the same IndexHalo feature set; the monthly search allowance changes. One credit covers one complete question, market/language and run across selected available sources. Monthly credits reset without rollover. Separately held non-expiring credits remain distinct. Reading and exporting saved reports does not use another search credit.

Multiple included sources do not multiply the credits. A repeat run is another search; two market/language combinations require two searches.

The workflow takes you from a buyer question to original answers, brand mentions, source relationships, practical actions and a stakeholder report. Consumer experiences and API-labelled evidence retain their collection labels. Referrals and crawler-activity views need their stated inputs. A full feature set within IndexHalo does not imply feature parity with another vendor.

A workload worth pricing

A marketing team checking 30 questions four times in one market needs 120 IndexHalo searches, which fits Business. A daily 50-question programme needs 1,500 searches over 30 days and exceeds IndexHalo’s standard plans. Agent Credits should not be added to prompt counts or treated as equivalent IndexHalo credits.

These are planning examples, not customer outcomes. Confirm actual calendar dates, markets, languages, collection methods and source availability. An included prompt, a model response, a corpus lookup and an agent action are different quantities. Calculate both the invoice and the work required to produce a useful result.

How to evaluate both products

Run a small common question set, then create the actual deliverable: a content brief, client report or action register. Record which work consumed prompt allowance, Agent Credits or another quota. Include the time needed to check factual claims before anything is published.

  1. Freeze the questions, market and purpose before testing.
  2. Inspect an original answer and its timestamp rather than comparing headline scores alone.
  3. Check whether a source is retrieved, cited at response level or attached to a specific passage.
  4. Preserve failures and unknown values; do not convert them into observed negatives.
  5. Export a report for a real stakeholder and check its readability and evidence.
  6. Record current commercial terms, required add-ons and any unresolved requirements.

Put IndexHalo to work for your business

Start with your own buyer question and see the evidence for yourself. Then choose Professional, Business or Agency for 100, 300 or 750 monthly searches, with the full IndexHalo feature set on every tier.

Choose the workflow that supports the decisions you will make repeatedly. A higher collection frequency is useful when it changes those decisions; a richer report is useful when a team can act on it. Neither an advertised feature list nor a small sample establishes superior accuracy, guaranteed citations or future revenue.

What this comparison does not establish

We have not independently tested Promptwatch’s paid collection, sampling, citation extraction, report accuracy or support response. A public feature listing cannot resolve those questions. Ask the vendor to demonstrate the exact workflow and explain its measurement rules using a real retained answer. The source-based descriptions above should guide an evaluation, not substitute for one.

Common questions

Are the pricing units directly comparable?+

No. Calculate questions, markets, languages, source coverage and repeat runs, then apply each vendor’s billing rules. A daily tracked prompt is not one monthly complete search.

Does IndexHalo restrict features by subscription tier?+

All IndexHalo monthly tiers include the full feature set. The included search allowance changes, and monthly credits do not roll over.

Was the competitor’s paid product independently tested for this guide?+

No. Competitor descriptions are based on dated official sources. Validate important requirements through the vendor and a suitably scoped evaluation.
